Focus on the Whole Child

We focus on supportive classroom environments where we can educate the whole child by meeting his or her social, emotional, and academic needs. With strong social and emotional skills, our students will be able to set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.

Outdoor Learning

Through a generous gift provided by the Council Oak Foundation, outdoor education is a regularly occurring experience for all of our students. Through hands-on and innovative learning experiences, Council Oak students engage with the community and exchange ideas, areas of expertise, and distinct experiences to enhance their learning environment.

HANDS-ON LEARNING

We provide children with collaborative workspaces and hands-on materials to increase their engagement with the curriculum. Our teachers offer flexible seating so students can utilize a variety of workspaces for group projects. Students are given choices in their learning so they can take ownership of their schoolwork and demonstrate an ability to solve problems for themselves in the future.
