Due to gas shut-off by Oklahoma Natural Gas (ONG), Council Oak will be shifting all classes to distance learning on Wednesday, Dec. 8.
Dear parents and families,
I am writing to let you know that due to gas shut-off by Oklahoma Natural Gas (ONG), Council Oak will be shifting all classes to distance learning on Wednesday, Dec. 8. Grab and go drive-through meal service will be available for families between 11 and 1pm tomorrow outside of our school.
During our aftercare program today, one of our team members smelled something that they believed might be gas and notified Oklahoma Natural Gas (ONG) who shut off gas service to the school. This means that our building will not have heat or hot water tomorrow.
Representatives from ONG will be on campus tomorrow to determine whether there is a leak in our building. We are hopeful that ONG will be able to complete their inspection by the end of the day tomorrow so that we can resume in-person classes on Thursday, Dec. 9.
In an effort to balance your need to plan for child care with giving ONG as much time as possible to complete their search of the building, please look for an email by 5pm tomorrow with information about plans for Thursday. I will, of course, update you if I have information from ONG earlier in the day.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
